Things are either boring or busy, or im too lazy to update.
Not too much new. I went to an ASO concert in which nearly every member of the brass section and later every member of the orchestra congratulated me and wished me good luck on all of my college auditions. That was pretty cool. An entire world class symphony orchestra backing up my career.
Right now, I'm just ready to move on. I'm completely primed for freshman life in college. I feel like I've learned enough to have a terrific college experience and make the most out of it while making minimal mistakes. Mistakes are no fun... so I'm not going to make them anymore :-)
I had an awesome time tonight hangin out with one of my best friends when he was in high school. Still my best friend, just not in high school. He showed me around his church, which was huge. Afterwards we went back to his apartment and tackled the foozeball table. Oh man, that was cool. It was our first experience at it, and dang did we get into it. At one point I was asking the good lord to help me come up from behind when chris said "Jesus does not interfere with foozeball!!!" You probably had to be there, but it was the first time in months i haven't been able to get off the ground because I was laughing so hard.
I talked on the phone with another good friend of mine that I met at interlochen last summer. that was also really good. Its amazing the kind of and amount of people I have met through music...
Thats about it. I'd like to voice my opinion on a few news issues but none are coming to mind. I can't keep current events and my A.P. government class seperate. Oh well. Perhaps I'll update more often... but perhaps not.

Sorry about that short update yesterday. It was late, and I was tired.
Friday Night Shannon and her family... minus the little sister... came to lilburn for Chris and Shannon's wedding shower. I was home alone with them for the evening, and I had a wonderful time with them. I fell asleep pretty early, but it was from sheer exhaustion, I promise.
The next day I had a Youth Orchestra rehearsal in the morning. It really sucked, but thats a different story entirely. I left early to get to the shower around 11:00. It was a really pleasant time. I ran into the mothers of all of my childhood neighborhood friends that I havent talked to in years. That was a little awkward, but interesting to see just how different my path and my life, as well as the life of my family, is from my old friend's lives. There were also tons of my families friends there that are a delight to talk to. Glenda Cowart, David and Kathy Key, Kathy Platzman just to name a few. Half of the ASO was there as well. Its really great to talk to those people. They are so interesting and smart and just awesome to talk to. Me and Kathy Platzman had a terrific time commenting on the wonderful smiles of Chris and Shannon as they opened their fourth set of wine glasses and 6th place setting. Good job guys.
David Key is the man that tought me how to play a trumpet back when I was ten. I owe more than I can say to him and to Larry black for helping to bring me to where I am, and to where I'm going.
Glenda Cowart and Mary Moreland(not present at the party) have been friends of the family for decades. They are my non-biological grandparents. No matter what kind of mood I'm in, their good humor, intelligence, and high spirits are always a pure joy to me.
There were so many other people there, I can't go through all of them. Every single one of them has had a positive impact on me or my family or, in most cases, both. I really love all of em', and I want to send out a special thank you to those that helped to organize the party. Mary Bentley, Robin Royal, and Martha Miller. That meant worlds to my mom.
Straight after the party i was on my way to the airport to catch my tenth plane ride in two months. Off to New York City and Juilliard and some more family. Linda, Tim, Katherine, and Jon Eddy. My mom's sister and her family have been very close to my family for a long long time. They are another vry musical family. Being up with them was really like candy for me. I enjoyed every second of their love and hospitality.
New York is my favorite city in the world. Just being at the Lincoln Center for the Arts sent some crazy vibe through me. I fell in love with the place instantly. I could write volumes about this weekend, but... I can't. Ask me about it sometime. I've felt more alive and at peace with myself and my life by being around family this weekend. Family is a very special thing, and i think people forget about that sometimes in the rush to get stuff done. New York City is now a goal for me. One day I'm going to conquer that place.

Not much time.
I have the coolest family in the world. I was just sitting around looking at old pictures from the last few years, and I realized that I really dont need to be as pissed off and annoyed at school and life in general as I have been. Its kinda wierd, things just put themselves in perspective a little better and I suddenly feel very much more at ease with everything. Heh, I tried to update the page last night, and man was I fuming. No particular reason, I was just tired of living in lilburn Georgia and going to parkview high school, and I just let it all out last night on the update. Good thing the computer messed up and It didn't post. Life really is what you make of it, and the challenges that are created by others and by yourself for you to face and conquer. Sometimes its hard to understand that, and It can take a word or a picture or a letter to make yourself realize that things may not be as you are perceiving them to be in your mind. I'll try to remember that when I get in another random pissy mood in a day or two.
On a contrast... English today was interesting again. Instead of listening, I played with a 5x8 index card. I folded it in half "hamburger style" until it was weak on the crease, and I tore it. I repeated the process on the pieces as they got smaller and smaller. and ended up with 128 very very tiny and exactly shaped pieces of index card... I was really bored.
My brother's wedding shower is tomorrow morning. I'm really excited for him and His fiancee... the very wonderful Shannon Laughlin. Wonderful woman.
I need to be productive. Juilliard audition this weekend.
little_nitch@yahoo.com

I'm... really bored at school. We were reading "A Doll's House" by Ibsen out loud in english... and I found that tying a string around my finger and watching it change colors was more interesting for me. Thats pretty rough.
There's really nothing else that is interesting right now. Still hearing positive things from colleges. Marie Speziale from Indiana is going to call to "chat" sometime this week, whatever that means.
Thats about all I have to say. I'll try to get more interesting.

Pretty good weekend
I'm trying to relax after going through the audition wringer. I think i've relaxed too much. I havent done calculus homework in a month, and havent really practiced at all since last weekend. Havent really done anything too prudictive in a while, but thats ok.
Went back to church today after being out of town the last few weeks. That was really refreshing. Of course i have to miss it again next week....
I watched "the exorcist" last night. Man does that movie freak me out! SO SO freaky. I heard they are making a prequel to it, but i dont know how that is going to shape. I heard the sequels aren't too great.
Speaking of spooky things, my brother has been reading a freaky book called "House of Leaves." He says its freaky anyway... I haven't read it yet, and I've got a long list of books I want to read first anyway. Sounds like a good one though.
The american hockey team lost to the canadians... thats just annoying to me. Also annoying, that 16 year old being the best figure skater in the world. I wasn't the best anything when I was sixteen. Its just annoying.

Not a bad day as days go. Dealt with school, then went to go and get some cofee aterwards with some cool cool people. Nothing too much more exciting than that.
Yesterday a pschizophrenic attacked a girl at an elementary school up the street from me with a hammer. I just can't understand that. From what I hear the guy's grandmother died and he felt like he just had to hurt someone... so he goes at an eight-year-old with a hammer. I just don't understand that. It also freaks me out a little that it happened so close. Things always seem to happen either too close for comfort or too far away to grasp... luckily nothing too terrible has happened to me directly.
Chris liked that quote from a few days ago about setting girls on fire... here's another one for ya:
If you want to get a girl, your going to have to stop saying words like "poontang."
A nice piece on insight to my buddy John from a Music Ed major...

Today was one of those not too exciting type of days. went to school, and had band practice afterward, which was a bummer.
Just heard they are putting 4 minutes of the two towers onto the end of the lord of the rings... thats good for people that didn't like the ending. I personally don't mind waiting a year with the book to read. Its always good.
A friend of mine just broke up with his girlfriend. That's always rough, but he's a good guy.
